Garden maintenance and advice

Maintaining a garden can be a lot of work, when you take into account watering, mulching, fertilising, pruning, hedging, planting and weeding. And sometimes you do all of those things but your succulents still rot or your plants don't bear fruit. Mark Goodson can take care of all of your garden maintenance needs and has a vast botanical knowledge and knows precisely what each plant requires to survive and thrive, from pest control and to the amount of sunlight and soil composition.

What are your goals for your garden?

  • Should it be drought-resistant? Can you water the garden frequently? Or should you install sprinklers?
  • Is attracting local wildlife important to you?
  • Do you want something colourful, where you grow your favourite flowers?
  • Or a soft lawn framed by a privacy hedge?

You can do it all with Goodson Gardens. Leave it to the expert.

Fruit and veggie gardens

Look forward to having fresh vegetables and fruits straight from your garden. Mark has a produce garden at his own place in the Blue Mountains, Sydney, and can create one for you too - and make sure the possums and birds don't steal your tomatoes!

Turfing and lawn care

The Australian climate can be tough on lawns and some types of turf are best-adapted to our hot summers. The area for the turf needs to be measured, prepared, and then laid and maintained. Mark can source, install and lay your turf and keep it looking good.

Chicken coops

Never want to run out of eggs? In NSW, Australia, keeping up to 10 chooks in your backyard is generally legal but they have to be all hens. The applicable law depends on your state and Local Government Areas so check your council website.

Bird-mad Mark is full of knowledge about chicken keeping. Have him build you one from scratch or buy a pre-built coop for installation. Learn from him about chicken breeds, feed, roosting, eggs and more. Smaller chickens like bantams even make great pets for kids.
